Our Story
...every child born into this world should be empowered through effective, functional and quality education. – The Abolarin College
The thought behind the establishment of The ABOLARIN COLLEGE…
The thought is borne out of the burning passion for education as a tool to liberate families from poverty. It is a desire fueled by the desire to ensure that the rights of a child to education irrespective of the social status of the child is met. A child’s future should not be determined by where the child is born but by the ability of the child to put into maximum use the talents that God gives. Therefore every child born into this World should be empowered through effective, functional and quality education.
The school is to empower the young ones of the rural communities in Nigeria through qualitative education that can favourably compete with what obtains in other advanced educational centres of the world.
Our college is beginning to make great and meaningful impact not only in our state, Osun, but also in Nigeria. The population of the college is now ninety-five (95), forty-six boys (46) and forty-nine (49), all indigent students. We do not collect a kobo from any of them.
Our focus is to take quality education to the door steps of the rural poor. Our rural, indigent students are indeed a pride to any institution, we are exceedingly very proud of them.
The school presently operates on its temporary site, mainly funded from gifts of public spirited people, and from the large heartedness of Alayeluwa, Oba Adedokun ABOLARIN, Aroyinkeye I, The Orangun of Oke-Ila, the proprietor of the school. And to the glory of God we now have well equipped science laboratories (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) through, The Lanre Laose Foundation.
